Autograph is a part of a black & white series that has loosely been dubbed as Nothing Sleeps; Nothing Sleeps depicts a series of still-life scenes photographed throughout New Brunswick, all at night. All photos were taken using a tripod, a 52mm lens, no flash and long, long exposures using a wide apeture. All prints are 8X10″ on a matte finish.

Autograph happens to be my favorite of the series; the subject, a late 90’s Honda Civic, just caught my eye while I was wandering through the Easton Avenue Apartment parking deck. Nothing about its exterior was particularly compelling, but its interior was very flash. Its seats were completely lined with white leather, the dashboard and console had been redone to match the leather, and chrome had been tastefully injected into every appropriate nook and fixture to complement the smooth white surfaces within the cab. Under the relative dimness of industrial fluorescent lighting, my intent was to capture the car’s smooth aesthetic and alluring appeal that laid fixed within a rather modest-looking exterior.
