Blue Eyes
The best aspect of this painting is its the texture painted upon the canvas;I had been planning to paint on a rocky, disrupted texture: something that would work well with smooth color transitions and broad shapes. The scale was actually a little larger than I had originally intended, but I have been very happy with its initial results. My intent was to paint something otherworldy, eerie, yet pleasing and hopeful.
