Peering Through
This is the most complete and most fully painted depiction of the idea and motif going in the direction of Ambush. I am all about the skull helmet, but this example of the skull helmet is very fantastically conceived whereas Ambush had a skull motif based on the skull of a real animal. As you can see, it’s still unfinished; there are a lot of details and layers I’d like to add soon. The canvas texture is also still very grainy; for this painting and figure, I’d like to develop a much smoother look overall. The actual painting itself is 36×36″, and has been displayed extensively as my favorite painting worked on as of today.
